BEING Melanin, MELANIN BEING.

According to the Oxford Dictionary Melanin is a dark brown or black pigment occurring in the hair, skin and iris of the eye in people and animals. It is responsible for tanning of the skin exposed to sunlight. This definition triggered the creation of Melanin Being which motivates people to change darkness and negative energy and moments in life into Light; and light into that which they love. The organization aims to combat prejudices formed by the understanding that Melanin refers to black people. This concept is oblivious to the fact that white people also have melanin cells in the Basal Layer of their skin, in their hair and eyes. This pigment produced by melanocyte cells is responsible for the many shades of Human Beings we see all over the world which is all dependent on the genetic make-up of the individual.
